SAS/SATA/NVMe through Tri-Mode controllers: The dedicated 48SFF chassis supports SAS, SATA, and U.3 NVMe media through validated HPE Tri-Mode controller paths. The six cages and signal cables are integrated as part of the 48SFF CTO topology.

High-density controller architecture: The 48SFF CTO system is designed around HPE OCP-type or PCIe plug-in Tri-Mode controllers. Included signal cabling provides an x1 path across the drive set, while the final RAID design must follow HPE controller limits.
