Hot-plug or non-hot-plug storage: The hot-plug 4LFF model supports validated SAS and SATA HDD/SSD media. The non-hot-plug version uses cabled SATA drives and must not be described as hot-swap.

Embedded and hardware RAID choices: Non-hot-plug SATA models use the embedded Intel VROC SATA path. Hot-plug SAS/SATA configurations can use supported HPE storage controllers for hardware RAID, cache, and enterprise drive management.

Defined four-drive tower layout: The ML30 Gen11 4LFF chassis provides four drive positions and does not rely on additional front data cages. Optional optical and M.2 boot devices remain separate from the LFF basket.
