Variant-specific SAS/SATA support: The hot-plug 2LFF chassis supports validated LFF SAS or SATA HDD/SSD media with the appropriate storage path. The non-hot-plug model is a cabled SATA-only design and does not provide hot-swap service.

Embedded and hardware RAID choices: Non-hot-plug SATA models use the embedded Intel VROC SATA path. Hot-plug SAS/SATA configurations can use supported HPE storage controllers for hardware RAID, cache, and enterprise drive management.
