4 front LFF bays: Four 3.5-inch bays provide economical local capacity. HPE offers distinct hot-plug and non-hot-plug versions, so the service method must be matched to the selected chassis.

Hot-plug or non-hot-plug storage: The hot-plug 4LFF model supports validated SAS and SATA HDD/SSD media. The non-hot-plug version uses cabled SATA drives and must not be described as hot-swap.

Embedded and hardware RAID choices: Non-hot-plug SATA models use the embedded Intel VROC SATA path. Hot-plug SAS/SATA configurations can use supported HPE storage controllers for hardware RAID, cache, and enterprise drive management.

Second 4LFF cage option: A second matching 4LFF cage can raise the system total to eight LFF drives. Mixing with an SFF cage is supported only on the hot-plug LFF chassis and must follow the ML110 configuration rules.
