Storage basket and service access: The selected storage basket comprises twenty-four front hot-swap 2.5-inch SFF bays for SAS or SATA drives. Front- or rear-accessible hot-swap service, as applicable to the specified bays, helps reduce planned maintenance time without opening the main chassis.

Installed accelerator subsystem: The installed accelerator subsystem contains 4 x AMD Radeon Instinct MI50. It provides the accelerator memory of the installed cards. PCIe 3.0 supplies the host-to-accelerator data path for the installed GPUs.

Storage topology and data path: The SAS/SATA controller path and NVMe PCIe path are selected according to the drive protocol and required RAID design. Storage, accelerator and network resources are arranged to support sustained data movement for datasets, checkpoints and local scratch space.
